[Additional consumer/victim/activist advisories are available at end of this page.  Click here to skip to additional advisories.]

You may be a victim of crimes including white collar crimes, fraud, sexual assault, abuse, and/or human trafficking for sex or labor.  In the event for any reason you were unable to get justice through the justice system and/or said available remedies you found insufficient to make you whole in spirit as well as at law, COPE is here to help.  The HEAL Mission has been effectively running a virtual conversion program since 2002.  If you know of a business entity (whether for profit or nonprofit, secular or faith-based) that has criminally or tortiously harmed you that is continuing to do that to others, you may click here to enroll them (see enrollment agreement for details) in our virtual conversion program which is described here.  We can't promise to change them, but, have an arguably sufficient track record of destroying them or assisting with that as shown by our virtual cemetery for those who failed to convert.

If you feel enrolling an entity in our conversion program is the right decision for you, we're happy to help.  I, Rev. Angela Smith understand how upsetting it is to be a victim of crime and injustice.  And, being a woman of faith, trust that God knows best.  In the church documents it says the other churches that are hierarchical with narcissists in charge do it "the right way" and as dissidents against that model bylaws for COPE say they do it the wrong way.  Both statements are true.  It's the right way for social control and to exert undue influence and the wrong way to show mutual respect and recognition of equality in the eyes of God and the law.

QUICK LINKS:
EMANCIPATION GUIDE FOR MINORS 1974 Congressional Hearing on Conversion/Behavior Modification Programs
Totalitarian Roots/Imitation Games Open Empathy Letter for COPE Conversion Program Service Recipients U.S. District Court holds that company may lawfully retaliate against employees who report its abuse of clients to DHHS
INVOLUNTARY SERVITUDE, FORCED LABOR, AND SEX TRAFFICKING STATUTES ENFORCED (WHEN REPORTED FOLLOWING PROPER PROCEDURE TO PROPER AUTHORITIES IN JURISDICTION WHERE CRIME OCCURRED) From 2005-2015 (HEAL Mission went national in 2005), the use of segregated congregate care decreased by 37%.  (Most Recent Data Known to COPE/HEAL as of 11/4/2020) Statutes of Limitation on Human Labor Trafficking/Child Trafficking in Each State (There May Still Be Time for Justice at Law for You)
Is segregating (i.e. enrolling in segregated congregate care like a group home, residential treatment, boarding school, or boot camp) a child or loved one against their will without a court order a crime?  Potentially Yes. If my loved one sues me for false imprisonment and other torts committed by a service provider I hired, am I responsible for 75% of the damages?  The service provider only 25%?  Potentially Yes. (Taylor v. Provo Canyon School et al ) It's a school.  It's a treatment center.  No, it's a wealthy authoritarian cult.
MEDITATIVE QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER FOR THE SAKE OF UNDERSTANDING JUSTICE
For the purpose of objectivity and clarity in pursuing justice through the justice system, please ask yourself the following question(s) if the question(s) apply to you.  The questions apply to you if you are seeking or asking for justice whether directly or indirectly and regardless of venue.
Direct and Indirect Victims and Survivors of Torts (Civilly Actionable Unlawful Actions/Wrongs) and Crimes Answer These:

If your closest friend was accused of human trafficking by someone you never met, would you immediately condemn your friend?

What if your friend wasn't even arrested or reported to law enforcement, would you condemn your friend?

What if there wasn't sufficient evidence for an arrest even if reported, would you suspect and/or condemn your friend?

What would it take for you to believe your closest friend is guilty of human trafficking?

Would you deny the allegations and believe there must be some misunderstanding?

Would you only believe it if they were convicted of human trafficking by a unanimous jury verdict in the proper jurisdiction to try the case?

What if the statement was made using a pseudonym on social media, would you believe the allegations then?

Do you grumblingly or otherwise assent to the US Constitution including guarantees of due process before someone can be stripped of their life, liberty, and/or property as well as the US Constitution's general abolition of slavery with being convicted of a crime being the only exception where crimes may include human trafficking another name for slavery?
Tortfeasors and Those Who Commit Crimes Answer These:

Do you consider yourself equal to everyone else?

If someone stole from you, raped you, murdered a loved one, or trafficked you, what would you do or wish to see done to the person who harmed you?

What if the person who harmed you repented and apologized while encoding into their own supreme self-governing law that such was forbidden and would be severely penalized subjecting themselves to even the death penalty if they cause such harm again, would you let bygones be bygones?

Do you understand when you steal from, rape, murder, and/or traffick other people (including children) that such is an abuse of your own freedom and rights under the law as well as a violation of their rights including freedom?

Do you think it is fair and just to temporarily and/or permanently segregate someone from society who has proven to cause serious unlawful harm such as raping, murdering, and/or trafficking people?

Do you think putting such antisocial characters all together in one environment may itself create a hostile environment regardless of quality of correctional officers?

Do you accept that this is a truism "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time"?

To what extent would someone's background mitigate the sentence you'd like visited upon them if they caused you significant harm as a result of crime or tort they intentionally committed to harm you?

If they told you it wasn't personal and they do it to a lot of people, would that mitigate or aggravate the sentence you'd like visited upon them?

Would you rather have an equal share of nothing or what you've ever had and currently have now?

As uncomfortable as this idea makes everyone, I hope it helps that it is a virtual conversion program that is both artful and effective without directly interfering with or infringing on the rights of anyone else given those enrolled are free to ignore their placement and pretend it doesn't matter or effect them in any way.  All enrolled in the conversion program have the opportunity to provide feedback and/or meet the criteria for graduation as described or provided here.  And, donations are welcome from everyone, but, donating will not effect placement status either way regardless of donor's position on the placement.

Those placed are welcome to participate by meeting the requirements for graduation or openly opposing the methods employed by the conversion program.  As a survivor of many coercive thought reform and/or Machiavellian behavior modification strategies, I totally empathize and am somewhat uncomfortable myself with even doing this artfully to make a point through virtual conversion "therapy".  But, happily continue taking a stand against such a destructive practice while recognizing it self-perpetuates and knowing even the art kills.  Would and/or does placement in our virtual conversion program make you feel like this?:

Honestly, it shouldn't.  Because, one thing I do for sure is encourage everyone to think for themselves and I accept feedback, both critical and complimentary.  But, I understand how the circumstances surrounding placement creates trust issues for everyone involved and that to establish a strong foundation on which to build even a client/therapist or student/teacher relationship, we all need to trust each other before any progress can be achieved and the very methods employed pretty much make that impossible or highly unlikely.  There is hope though, you can choose to meet the Honesty In Marketing Standards.

I dig it.  I understand.  I empathize.  You dig?:

THE VITAMIN/SUPPLEMENT INDUSTRY: YOU NEED TO CHECK THEIR PATENTS.  HERE'S WHAT THAT WHOLE INDUSTRY IS ABOUT AND BASED ON: "And yet in another respect, many other fruits, vegetables, herbs, and seeds in addition to cranberries have been scientifically shown or are widely believed through apocryphal evidence, to have other beneficial health effects. In their natural forms, most of these fruits, vegetables, herbs, and seeds cannot be directly ingested (due to palatability as well as other concerns). Many of the extracts produced from them have only captured a portion of the bioactive compounds. There is thus a distinct need for a new processing method which can capture the full synergistic and beneficial activity of these plants in a palatable concoction which retains the beneficial activity of the natural forms, and also provides for easy transport, easy formulation into unit dosages, and long-term shelf life without the need for refrigeration...."  Source: US Patent # 6,440,467 found at  https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/search-patents  Now, if the above doesn't persuade you that vitamins/supplements are a total scam, maybe you don't know what "apocryphal" means.  Apocryphal means highly doubtful but widely believed to be true.  Do a google definition search and that's what you will get when searching for "apocryphal".  So, if you find eating food not palatable and want a juiced or dehydrated tiny piece of real food in a pill that may or may not contain anything it claims because you ignore disclaimers when you shouldn't, then, perhaps you actually want to put unknown substances in your body rather than eat food which suggests you suffer from Pica.  Now, if you go to the patent search above and search for "apocryphal" you'll find more than that patent on supplemental food processing using that word to describe their "evidence".  The New York Times reported "The New York State attorney general’s office accused four major retailers on Monday of selling fraudulent and potentially dangerous herbal supplements and demanded that they remove the products from their shelves. The authorities said they had conducted tests on top-selling store brands of herbal supplements at four national retailers — GNC, Target, Walgreens and Walmart — and found that four out of five of the products did not contain any of the herbs on their labels. The tests showed that pills labeled medicinal herbs often contained little more than cheap fillers like powdered rice, asparagus and houseplants, and in some cases substances that could be dangerous to those with allergies."  Source:  https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/02/03/new-york-attorney-general-targets-supplements-at-major-retailers/  So, if you know someone who takes them, break it to them gently and if you are currently taking them, you likely want to stop wasting your money and/or request a refund while submitting a complaint to the proper authorities.

We have solely done outreach to vitaminshoppe.com in offering dietary supplement retailers and manufacturers a means to meet our minimum Honesty In Marketing Standards to be featured at https://www.cope.church/standards.htm should they meet the following criteria/requirements for "graduation" or upgrade in status: "In order to remove the dietary supplement market or that section from our site, we'd need all dietary supplements to include the following in their labeling: "Dietary supplements may not contain product described on label. Those with allergies or concerns about unidentified substances should avoid taking dietary supplements. Dietary supplements are at times synthetic so petroleum by-product and/or when organic simply small portions of juiced or dehydrated food some find unpalatable who may be suffering from Pica and need healthcare." Something along those lines and disclosing the actual patent number on any patents relied on for the products by the entire industry and/or your meeting said standard with your product line would result in placing you (if not the entire industry) on the Honesty In Marketing Standards page at https://www.cope.church/standards.htm . We look forward to hearing from you and you may alert Minister Angela Smith at rev@cope.church if you meet the criteria or wish to "Submit Feedback".

ANIMAL RIGHTS/VEGANISM  The animal rights movement and call for veganism is based on misleading and/or false information or a misunderstanding of where human rights are actually at as a matter of law.  Human beings who are deemed incompetent as a matter of law as a result of not recognizing the difference between right and wrong or truth and fiction become wards of the state and/or require a competent human be responsible for their care and supervision.  So, nonhuman animals who do not understand or comprehend human systems of law and social expectations to keep the peace must have human guardians.  And, as a matter of law and practicality those guardians need a means of acquiring and maintaining resources to responsibly care for their wards (human or nonhuman).  And, for incompetent humans that often means sex and labor trafficking in segregated congregate care which often results in premature death.  So, it seems that nonhuman animals have the same rights as incompetent humans and require assistance in reporting criminal abuse and exploitation to the proper authorities who will then seize and/or transfer them to likely a similar storefront or service, but, maybe a good one that is actually ethical.  But, the point is nonhuman animals currently have equal rights with incompetent humans at law.  Even when it comes to euthanasia or "pulling the plug" where someone holds the power of attorney for a loved one that is human but incompetent or unable to make decisions for themselves.  So, to improve animal rights, improving the rights of imcompetent humans may be where to start.  Animals currently have equal rights to incompetent humans with exception that eating incompetent humans is illegal in most jurisdictions where eating other species is not.

And, given the majority of species (including plants) on the planet are omnivores, democratically speaking the omnivorous lifestyle wins and evolution of plants and animal species supports this for anyone who has studied zoology, anthropology, botany/gardening, and evolution.  Also, the vegans claim that they save lives by preventing animals from existing in the first place.  "The way a vegetarian saves animals is by reducing the demand for meat and causing fewer animals to be born into a harsh life owned by the meat industry, where callousness abounds and mercy is scant."  Source:  http://www.countinganimals.com/how-many-animals-does-a-vegetarian-save/  That's not saving lives, that's promoting extinction because you think not existing is better than existing if you have to live in those conditions.  And, it is pathetic because instead of putting time, energy, and resources into actually making the world more hospitable for all life, including nonhuman animals, you've decided to promote extinction and call that saving lives.  It's one of the most despicable things and made even worse by the environmental argument which PETA claims "Raising animals for food requires massive amounts of land, food, energy, and water and causes immense animal suffering.  It takes an enormous amount of water to grow crops for animals to eat, clean filthy factory farms, and give animals water to drink. A single cow used for milk can drink up to 50 gallons of water per day—or twice that amount in hot weather—and it takes 683 gallons of water to produce just 1 gallon of milk. It takes more than 2,400 gallons of water to produce 1 pound of beef, while producing 1 pound of tofu only requires 244 gallons of water. By going vegan, one person can save approximately 219,000 gallons of water a year."  Source: https://www.peta.org/issues/animals-used-for-food/meat-environment/    So, they argue there will be less animals and because of reduced demand they won't be produced and you'll save resources for human use that would be used to care for the animals raised for human use.  But, the amount of food waste, including a lot of animal products (20% never makes it to retail and goes straight to landfills) annually, shows that it doesn't reduce production and just leads to waste.  Source: https://cok.net/food-waste-america/   So, not saving lives nor reducing production with the vegan lifestyle.

In addition, PETA euthanizes more than 81% of their rescues.  Source: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/religion/at-petas-shelter-most-animals-are-put-down-peta-calls-them-mercy-killings/2015/03/12/e84e9af2-c8fa-11e4-bea5-b893e7ac3fb3_story.html

And, vinyl (aka "Pleather" or Faux Leather), gasoline, plastic, synthetic fertilizer, and more is made of petroleum and petroleum by-products which are animal-derived therefore not "VEGAN".  Sources: https://drillingmatters.iadc.org/more-than-a-fuel/ and https://www.ranken-energy.com/index.php/products-made-from-petroleum/

So, we believe we've effectively established above that nonhuman animals and incompetent humans have the same or basically the same rights right now so there is no need for an animal rights movement calling for equality or equal treatment of humans and animals because we are already treated equally in the eyes of the law with competency being the standard bearer.  And, since we support and revere life and accept that there is both joy and suffering in the spectrum that is existence, we support utilitarianism with humane living conditions and that abuses of both incompetent humans and nonhuman animals be reported to the proper authorities in the proper jurisdiction where the offenses occurred.  And, people who can't be bothered to do the work (nor share the wealth with actual farmers who could use the help to improve actual living conditions for the animals) and when they rescue animals just kill them because caring for them in their condition or natural state is too difficult can shut the fuck up.  Farms are beautiful, farmers are lovely, and nature is God's creation for which we are stewards and sowers not solely reapers.  So, it is COPE Ministries and the HEAL Mission's position that the animal rights movement/vegan movement is ignorant, hypocritical, deceptive, misleading, and deserving to be on this list.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE AT LEAST OVO-LACTO VEGETARIAN AND REJECT VEGANISM By Rev.  Minister Angela Smith   Vitamin B-12 is essential and deficiency causes a lot of issues including heart disease, Alzheimer's, and dementia.  Source: https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/vitamin-b12-deficiency-can-be-sneaky-harmful-201301105780.  Vitamin B-12 is only available from animal-derived sources including eggs and milk.  Sources: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vitamin-b12-foods and https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/health-and-fitness/ask-a-health-expert/how-can-i-get-enough-vitamin-b12-if-i-dont-eat-meat/article16777645/ Synthetic supplements for B-12 are not effectively bio-available and may not be absorbed.  In addition, the supplements are often derived from petroleum by-product which is actually derived from ancient animal remains so not vegan.  Sources:  SUPRA and https://hydrobuilder.com/nutrients-and-fertilizer/synthetic-nutrients.html and https://www.cope.church/animalfactsheet.pdf .  Therefore, the vegan lifestyle is definitively unhealthy.  But, if you eat plenty of eggs and dairy, you may get enough B-12 without eating meat too.    Spread the word!

Raw, Honest, Unflinching v. Machiavellian on Cause(s) of Climate Change
by Rev. Minister Angela Smith, COPE Ministries and HEAL Mission Co-Founder

The Guardian reports that 97% of climate scientists agree that climate change is caused by human activity.[1]  The Guardian cites the study cited by most when using that statistic which is available here: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/8/2/024024.  But, the overall consensus considering all climate scientist research puts the consensus that humans cause climate change at 32.6% according to that exact study.  There was a second part to the study, with a much smaller sample, which identified and then eliminated 35.5% from that already significantly cut sample since from the sample of the larger data those didn't take a position on whether humans had an impact on climate change and were disqualified from inclusion in the second part of the study for that reason.  So, the remaining 64.5% of the significantly cut twice sample were split with 97.2% of that smallest sample supporting the position that climate change is caused by humans and 2.8% of that 64.5% saying they reject that position.  So, in full context of the study of the smaller sample, the actual percentage of those endorsing from that smaller sample is 62.56% if you include those who find the science yet undetermined.   Phytoplankton, land-based plants, and nonhuman animals reportedly make up most, if not all of that which significantly contributes to climate change.[2][3][4]  Arguably some sources are better than others, but, we should all think for ourselves freely and independently and not subject ourselves to believing bullshit as a result of undue influence.

THE ACTUAL ODDS OF WINNING ANY PRIZES IN MULTI-STATE LOTTERIES

The following odds have been calculated using this formula: Odds of matching first white ball drawn in Powerball 1 in 69 and in Mega Millions 1 in 70.  Odds of matching the second white ball drawn in Powerball 1 in 68 and in Mega Millions 1 in 69.  Odds of matching the third white ball in Powerball 1 in 67 and in Mega Millions 1 in 68.  Odds of matching the fourth white ball in Powerball 1 in 66 and in Mega Millions 1 in 67.  Odds of matching the fifth white ball drawn in any given drawing of Powerball is 1 in 65 and in Mega Millions is 1 in 66.  Odds of matching the Powerball in any given Powerball drawing are always 1 in 26 and those of matching the Mega Million in any given drawing are always 1 in 25.

To calculate the overall odds of matching one white ball in Powerball I added 69+68+67+66+65=335 and then divided that by 5 (number of balls drawn) to get the overall odds of matching any white ball in any given Powerball drawing of 1 in 67.

To calculate the overall odds of matching one white ball in Mega Millions I added 70+69+68+67+66=340 and then divided that by 5 (number of balls drawn) to get the overall odds of matching any white ball in any Mega Millions drawing of 1 in 68.

To calculate the odds for the prize categories shown below in each game I took the overall odds of matching one white ball and multiplied it to the power of the number of white balls required to be matched to win in that specific prize category.  For example, the two white balls with the Powerball match prize category is calculated at 67 (overall odds of matching one white ball) to the power of 2 (67 x 67)+26 (odds of matching the Powerball always is 1 in 26) and divided that by 3 which is the number of balls to match to win that prize.  Now you understand my method and it is accurate because the odds never change with the limited variables of the games.  The differential between with and without the Mega Ball or Power Ball is shown in the actual odds charts below using this calculation method.

ACTUAL ODDS OF WINNING POWERBALL PRIZES:

5 White Balls + Powerball Match Jackpot: 1 in 225,020,855.5

5 White Balls Match No Powerball Junior Jackpot ($1 MILLION): 1 in 270,025,021.4 (sans 1 in 26 variable and divided 67 to power of 5 by 5)

4 White Balls + Powerball Match ($50K): 1 in 4,030,229.4

4 White Balls Match No Powerball (Prize $100): 1 in 5,037,780.25

3 White Balls Match + Powerball (Prize $100): 1 in 75,197.25

3 White Balls Match No Powerball (Prize $7): 1 in 100,254.33

2 White Balls + Powerball Match (Prize $7): 1 in 1,505

One White Ball + Powerball Match (Prize $4): 1 in 46.5

Powerball Match No White Balls (Prize $4): 1 in 26

ACTUAL ODDS OF WINNING MEGA MILLIONS PRIZES:

5 White Balls + Mega Ball Match Jackpot: 1 in 242,322,265.5

5 White Balls No Mega Ball Junior Jackpot ($1 MILLION): 1 in 290,786,713.6 (sans 1 in 25 variable and divided 68 to power of 5 by 5)

4 White Balls + Mega Ball Match (Prize $10K): 1 in 4,276,280.2

4 White Balls No Mega Ball (Prize $500): 1 in 5,345,344

3 White Balls + Mega Ball Match (Prize $200): 1 in 78,614.25

3 White Balls No Mega Ball (Prize $10): 1 in 104,810.66

2 White Balls + Mega Ball Match (Prize $10): 1 in 1,549.66

1 White Ball + Mega Ball Match (Prize $4): 1 in 46.5

No White Balls + Mega Ball Match (Prize $2): 1 in 25

The reason the prizes with Powerballs or Mega Balls show better odds than those without is because the odds are better that you'll match the Powerball or Mega Ball than matching white balls.  This seems pretty obvious to those who understand how to calculate odds where there are limited constant variables, but it appears some have difficulty with math.  And, whenever more than 225,020,855.5 tickets are in play on any given Powerball drawing day, the odds are someone is going to win the jackpot that night.  And, whenever more than 290,786,713.6 tickets are in play on any given Mega Ball drawing day, the odds are someone is going to win the jackpot that night too.  That does not change the odds which are static given the limited constant variables.

SELF-DEFENSE AGAINST FRAUD TIPS

Fraud is way more common than many seem to realize.  So, to assist you with understanding how common the problem is and how our government does find fraud worthy of prosecution in tort and criminal law depending on evidence and direct victims reporting it to the proper authorities where they've discovered they are a victim within the statute of limitations and/or timeframe an individual of reasonable intelligence would've recognized the fraud.  Please see: https://oig.hhs.gov/reports-and-publications/archives/enforcement/state_archive.asp, https://www.atg.wa.gov/past-cases, https://www.atg.wa.gov/news/news-releases/Consumer%20Alert and https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/enforcement/state/index.asp.  Now, those links with the above list and information resources should alert you that fraud is a serious problem.  And, academic fraud is also a serious problem that is ongoing because frauds are an ongoing problem and when one is stopped, that doesn't mean there aren't more out there that you may wish to exercise due diligence to avoid.  Here's some information on that: https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/avoid-fake-degree-burns-researching-academic-credentials  And, so now you should be fully aware that fraud is a serious problem and a threat to those who don't exercise due diligence (and/or their loved ones).

So, in the event you don't trust anyone including the government, you should be fine because you don't trust anyone which would mean you are likely not trusting those who would deceive you for vicious purposes.  Now, if you don't trust a specific group and join a cult/tribe of some sort that also decides they distrust or even uses your distrust to "enemy of my enemy is my friend" you, then you are being a hypocrite or dishonest in regards to not trusting anyone.  But, if you trust as if you are an innocent babe without a caregiver you desperately need because of your own sheltered existence and lack of awareness that fraud and other crimes happen on a regular basis that law enforcement can't prevent, but, can and will respond to if there is sufficient evidence for a warrant or arrest, then you really need to either become more assertive in exercising due diligence and aware of the world around you and your own reasonable responsibility for yourself and/or anyone who is your dependent in any way.  There will never be a pre-crime unit like in "Minority Report" starring Tom Cruise in the USA and if anyone thinks about creating one, they will be violating the US Constitution and specifically Bill of Rights.  And, all the government requires of We the People is that we recognize and exercise our rights as well as our responsibilities to report fraud to the proper law enforcement body or sue.  So, as citizens we must actively protect ourselves by not being distracted by shiny happy people defrauding us and take action to make sure our wallets or loved ones are not spirited away by frauds or human traffickers because "they seem so friendly and I was so emotional so I just signed the contracts without even reading them".  Read the contract should one exist and where one doesn't get a receipt.  If you don't understand the contract, don't sign it.  Take it to a lawyer and have them explain it to you, legal aid offices can help with that too if needed.  If the terms are described as "illusory" or "unconscionable", that means the contract/agreement is likely voidable on those grounds and evidence of fraud.  Regulation of corporations doesn't prevent malfeasance or corporate wrongdoing.  The same or similar rules apply where enough evidence exists for a warrant provided by a direct victim or witness to the crime/violation(s).  So, all the regulations in the world don't matter unless properly reported by often a direct victim who has suffered financial or bodily harm.  And, until all those who commit fraud or crime stop doing it on their own or are apprehended, we all need to be vigilant, but, not vigilantes.

This is intended to be helpful but no one, including anyone at HEAL Mission and COPE Ministries wishes to do your thinking for you nor all the specific research you may wish someone else would do that would be helpful to you before making any purchasing decisions for goods or services.  We research in our own time and as quickly as we can given limited resources ourselves.  And, we listen to victims and provide all opportunity to help educate the public about the risks involved in failing to exercise due diligence.  "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."  What does that mean?  It means that if you spend a little more time asking questions and considering facts before purchasing goods and services that you might totally avoid the hassle of having to sue, file criminal charges, or consumer complaints later.  But, if you don't do that little bit of due diligence and critical thinking beforehand, a lot of frustration and possible injustice is likely to occur depending on when you realize you've been defrauded.  The links in the first paragraph can help get you started on more tips and ideas for what alerts to sign up for and through what office(s) in your state or jurisdiction.  But, if you don't trust the government, don't trust anyone else either.  In 2015, the report shows 21,995,000 employed by US Government.  Source: https://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/21955000-12329000-government-employees-outnumber-manufacturing  And, the largest employer in the US is Wal*Mart with 1,500,000 employees.  Source: https://chicago.suntimes.com/2019/3/30/18395895/here-s-a-list-of-the-largest-employer-in-every-state   And, there are 331,000,000 people in the US.  Source: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/3-ways-that-the-u-s-population-will-change-over-the-next-decade  That means about 7% of the US works for the government, or 7/100, 3.5/50, 1.75/25, average it at maybe 2 out of every 25 people work for the government.  So, if you want the government to enforce laws for your protection, you have to trust the government enough with that task by at least showing willingness to show up and report it in a timely fashion as well as help prevent crime by exercising personal responsibility including due diligence.  But, if you don't trust the government you should probably stay off the internet and if sincere about that probably stopped reading after maybe the first sentence of the second paragraph.

You have two options:

1.  Sufficiently protect yourself by exercising due diligence and avoiding becoming a victim of fraud while understanding it is rampant in many sectors including healthcare, academic fraud, and all sorts of scams.  Know what you are getting out of any contract in actual benefits (not illusory) before signing or paying anything to anyone.  Verify licenses, credentials, and check for online reviews.

2.  Whether you reasonably exercised due diligence or not, once a victim don't deny it and throw tantrums as if in some cult, but, acknowledge it and file complaints with the proper authorities where a crime such as fraud (theft by deceit) or human trafficking has occurred.  And, know if the HEAL Mission and COPE Ministries can help, we will.  Truth and Justice is our main priority as both are names of God.

But, that's it.  There is no third option where you don't protect yourself, get hurt, and then just demand everyone prevent all possible harm that may occur to anyone else at all times through the legislative process and having other people assigned to monitor us all individually and collectively to make sure we're not victimizing each other in some way.  That's simply never going to happen and is really unreasonable to request or suggest otherwise.  Many of us go above and beyond in doing our part to protect our fellow citizens and support law enforcement.  But, if you require supervised care and a responsible adult that exercises due diligence to prevent any and all possible harm that may befall you, then may you find the level of support you require while understanding you are then admitting to incompetence at law most likely and may be stripped of rights along with relinquishing your responsibilities in the social contract that is the US Constitution and all applicable laws.  So, make sure you are responsible enough to report crimes or sue within the statutes of limitation where otherwise you couldn't or didn't avoid becoming a victim through no fault of your own.  Sometimes shiny happy people can tempt even a poet with the heart of a mystic, but, not for long.  And, emotional growth is bullshit, people really need to work on critical thinking and honest reasoning.  Emotional growth happens in it's own way over time and if you prioritize emotions, you end up with what we're all dealing with now (arrested development) in the world of politics and often public discourse.  Prioritize critical thinking in business matters or any matter in which you may part with cash.  Feel good about the smart choice even if instant gratification followed by bitter disappointment seems good in the moment.  The rest is up to you!
